Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Triple Dog Studios LLC, doing business as Triple Dog Hosting ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to tripledoghosting.com, our client portal, our support mailbox, and the hosting and domain services we sell (the "Services").

1. Summary

  • We collect what we need to run your account, bill you, and host your sites.
  • Stripe processes card payments. We never see or store your full card number.
  • We share data with our hosting provider and Namecheap only as needed to host your sites and register your domains.
  • We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Account information

When you create an account or place an order, we collect your name, business name (if any), email address, phone number, mailing address, and login credentials. We store passwords in hashed form.

2.2 Billing information

We collect your billing contact details, invoice history, and payment status. Stripe collects your card details directly. We receive only limited card information from Stripe, such as the card brand, last 4 digits, and expiration date, so we can show you which card is on file.

2.3 Domain registration information

When you register or transfer a domain through us, we collect the registrant contact details that the registrar and registry require: name, organization, postal address, email, and phone number. If you register a domain for someone else, you confirm that you have their permission to give us their details.

2.4 Site content

We store the files, databases, email, and other content you upload or create on our servers ("Site Content"). Site Content may include personal information about your own visitors and customers, such as WooCommerce orders or form submissions.

2.5 Support communications

When you email support@tripledoghosting.com, we keep the message, any attachments, and our replies in our ticket system.

2.6 Technical and usage data

Our servers, client portal, and website automatically log technical data, including IP addresses, browser type, pages requested, login times, and error logs. We use this data to run, secure, and troubleshoot the Services.

2.7 Cookies

tripledoghosting.com has no analytics tools, no advertising pixels, and no chat widgets. We set only strictly necessary cookies: cookies for your login session and security, and the cookies Stripe sets on payment pages to process your payment and prevent fraud. If that changes, we will update this policy first.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  1. Create and manage your account.
  2. Provision and run your hosting, including installing WordPress and WooCommerce.
  3. Register, renew, and manage your domains.
  4. Send invoices, payment receipts, late notices, and service notices.
  5. Answer support tickets.
  6. Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, spam, and security threats.
  7. Comply with legal obligations, such as tax record-keeping and valid legal requests.
  8. Enforce our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.

We send only service email, such as invoices, receipts, notices, and support replies. We do not send marketing email.

We do not use your Site Content for any purpose other than providing the Services, keeping them secure, and responding to abuse reports or legal requests.

4. Who we share information with

We share personal information only with the service providers below, and only the information each one needs to do its job.

Provider What they do What we share
Our hosting provider (a third-party U.S. data center operator) Server infrastructure that runs your sites, the client portal, and our support mailbox, plus the control panel software Site Content, hosting account details, account, billing and support records, support emails, technical data
Namecheap, Inc. Domain registration Registrant contact details for domains you register through us
Stripe, Inc. Card payment processing Name, email, billing address, payment amounts. You give card details directly to Stripe.

Depending on the domain extension and Namecheap's privacy settings, some registrant data may appear in the public domain registration directory (WHOIS or RDAP). Our client portal does not manage WHOIS privacy settings.

We may also disclose information:

  • When the law requires it, such as in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or search warrant.
  • To protect the rights, safety, or property of our customers, the public, or us, including to investigate abuse reports.
  • To a buyer or successor if we merge with or sell the business. We will email you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

5. Your Site Content and your visitors' data

You control the personal information that your websites collect from your visitors and customers. For that data, you are the party responsible for it, and we process it only on your behalf to provide the Services. You are responsible for:

  • Posting your own privacy policy on your sites.
  • Getting any consent your visitors must give under the law.
  • Responding to your visitors' privacy requests.

If one of your visitors contacts us about data on your site, we will refer them to you.

6. Where data is stored

We are based in the United States. Our servers are in a data center in the United States. We sell only to customers in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States.

7. How long we keep information

Data How long we keep it
Site Content For the life of your account. After the service ends, 30 days, then we delete it. The service ends on the last day of your paid period if you cancel, or on the suspension date if we suspend for non-payment.
Backups Until they age out of the backup rotation, which our hosting provider sets. We do not publish a fixed retention period. After we delete your data, backup copies age out on that rotation.
Account records For the life of your account, plus 3 years after it closes.
Invoices and payment records 7 years after the transaction, for tax and accounting purposes.
Support tickets 3 years after the ticket closes.
Server and security logs Up to 90 days.

8. Security

We protect information with encrypted connections (HTTPS) for the website and client portal, hashed passwords, access limited to people who need it, and server-level firewalls and malware scanning. No system is fully secure. You can help by using a strong, unique password and keeping your WordPress software up to date.

If a data breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as Florida law requires, which is no later than 30 days after we determine that a breach occurred, unless law enforcement asks us to delay.

9. Your choices and rights

You can:

  1. See and update your account and billing details in the client portal at any time.
  2. Get a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  3. Correct inaccurate information.
  4. Delete your account and personal information. We will delete what we can and keep only what we must keep for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or dispute reasons.

To make a request, email support@tripledoghosting.com from the email address on your account. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We respond within 30 days.

Some U.S. states give residents additional privacy rights. If you live in one of those states, we will honor the rights that apply to you. We sell the Services only to customers in the United States.

10. Children

The Services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email support@tripledoghosting.com and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. For material changes, we will email you at least 30 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version.
