Terms of Service
Last updated: November 2, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and Triple Dog Studios LLC, a Florida limited liability company doing business as Triple Dog Hosting ("Triple Dog Hosting," "we," "us," or "our"). They cover every service you buy or use from us at tripledoghosting.com and through our client portal (the "Services").
By creating an account, placing an order, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Acceptable Use Policy (together, the "Policies"). If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Who we are
Triple Dog Hosting is a brand of Triple Dog Studios LLC, based in Tampa, Florida. We sell only to customers in the United States.
- Legal notices: Triple Dog Studios LLC, 9203 N 19th St, Tampa, FL 33612
- Phone for legal notices: 407-900-2469. We do not give support by phone. Use a support ticket for support.
- Support and billing: support@tripledoghosting.com
- Abuse reports: abuse@tripledoghosting.com (these emails open a ticket in our support system)
2. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. You must have a billing address in the United States and pay with a card that is valid in the United States.
- If you sign up for a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.
- You must give us accurate name, email, address, and billing details, and keep them current. We send all invoices, notices, and suspension warnings to the email address on your account. If that address is wrong or stops working, you still receive notice when we send it.
- You are responsible for everything done under your login, including by anyone you share access with. Use a strong, unique password and turn on two-factor authentication wherever the portal offers it.
- Tell us right away at support@tripledoghosting.com if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
- We may refuse an order or close an account that we reasonably believe is fraudulent or uses false information. If we refuse an order, we refund any payment for it.
3. The Services
3.1 Managed WordPress and WooCommerce hosting
We provide managed hosting for WordPress and WooCommerce sites. New sites can be created with WordPress, or WordPress and WooCommerce, installed automatically. Each plan's storage, bandwidth, site count, email, and other limits are listed on the order page at the time you buy. Those limits are part of these Terms.
"Managed" means we handle the server, operating system, PHP and web server software, the hosting control panel, and platform security. Unless your plan says otherwise, you are responsible for:
- Your site content, themes, and plugins.
- Updating WordPress core, themes, and plugins. No plan includes automatic updates.
- Your own user accounts inside WordPress and WooCommerce.
- Compliance of your site and store with laws that apply to your business, including privacy, consumer, and payment card rules.
3.2 Our infrastructure providers
We run the Services on infrastructure we buy from third-party providers. At the time of these Terms, our servers are in a third-party data center in the United States and are managed through a third-party hosting control panel. We may change providers or data center locations at any time. If a change requires action from you or changes your server IP address, we will email you at least 7 days in advance, except in an emergency.
Third-party software included with the Services, such as WordPress, WooCommerce, and the control panel software, is provided under its own license terms. WordPress and WooCommerce are open source software licensed under the GNU General Public License.
3.3 Domains
You can register a domain through us or use a domain you already own.
- We register domains through Namecheap, Inc., an ICANN-accredited registrar. When you register, transfer, or renew a domain through us, you also agree to Namecheap's registration agreement and to the policies of the registry for that domain extension, including ICANN's Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy.
- You are the registrant of any domain you register through us. You must provide accurate registrant contact details. ICANN rules require the registrar to verify the registrant email address, and a domain can be suspended if you do not complete that verification.
- Domains are billed for their full registration term, which is 1 year unless you pick a longer term, not monthly. Domains renew automatically each term using the card on file, unless you turn off auto-renew in the client portal. We email a renewal reminder before each renewal.
- We cannot guarantee that a domain is available until the registration completes.
- Renewing a domain is your responsibility. We charge domains that are set to auto-renew and send renewal reminders, but we are not liable if a domain expires because a payment failed or auto-renew was turned off.
- Changing the registrant name, organization, or email on many domain extensions triggers a 60-day transfer lock under ICANN's Transfer Policy.
- Domains registered through us use our nameservers, ns1.tripledoghosting.com and ns2.tripledoghosting.com, by default. If you bring your own domain, you are responsible for keeping it registered and pointing its DNS to the records or nameservers we give you.
- You confirm that your domain does not infringe anyone's trademark or other rights.
3.4 Support
Open a support ticket in the client portal or by email to support@tripledoghosting.com. Support is by ticket only. We do not offer phone or live chat support. Support hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, on business days. A business day is Monday to Friday, except U.S. federal holidays. You can submit a ticket at any time. Our target is to send a first reply within 1 business day. This is a target, not a guarantee.
Support covers the hosting platform, the control panel, and the basic setup of WordPress and WooCommerce on our servers. It does not cover custom code, third-party plugin or theme bugs, site design, or development work. We may offer that work as a separate paid service.
When you ask for help, you authorize our staff to access your hosting account and site files to diagnose and fix the issue. Make a backup before you ask us to change anything.
3.5 Uptime commitment
We target 99.9% uptime for each hosting service in each calendar month. If we miss the target, you can claim a service credit.
- When credits apply. Credits apply when unscheduled downtime for your service in a calendar month is more than 0.1% of that month. In a 30-day month, that is about 43 minutes.
- What counts as downtime. Your website is down when visitors cannot reach it over the internet because of a failure on our hosting platform. We measure this with our monitoring and server logs. An outage at our infrastructure provider counts as our downtime.
- Credit amount. For each full hour of qualifying downtime, you receive a credit of 5% of the monthly fee for the affected service. Only full hours count, and we do not round partial hours up. The credit for one month cannot be more than 100% of that service's monthly fee. Example: 2 hours and 20 minutes of unscheduled downtime in a month is 2 full hours, so the credit is 10%. Downtime of under 1 hour in a month earns no credit.
- How credits are paid. We apply credits to your account against future invoices. We do not pay credits in cash or refund them to your card.
- How to claim. Open a support ticket within 30 days of the outage. Give the date, the start and end times, and the affected service. We check your claim against our records before we issue a credit.
- Exclusions. Credits do not apply to downtime or problems caused by:
- Scheduled maintenance or emergency maintenance (see section 3.6).
- Your actions or your code.
- Plugins, themes, or other software on your site.
- A suspension for non-payment or for breaking the Acceptable Use Policy.
- Denial-of-service (DDoS) or other attacks.
- Problems outside our network, such as your internet provider, internet routing, or DNS and browser caching.
- Third-party services, such as domain registries, Stripe, and email deliverability.
- Sole remedy. Service credits are your only remedy for downtime.
3.6 Maintenance
We maintain our platform in three ways. Downtime from any of them does not count toward the uptime commitment in section 3.5.
- Routine maintenance. Small updates that cause little or no interruption. We may do them at any time without notice.
- Scheduled maintenance. Larger work that may interrupt service. We do it outside peak hours where we can, and we announce it by email in advance where we can. When we expect more than 15 minutes of downtime, we try to give at least 24 hours' notice.
- Emergency maintenance. Urgent work to fix a security problem, a stability problem, or a hardware failure. It may start without notice. We tell you as soon as we can.
4. Billing and payment
4.1 Prices and payment method
- Hosting plans are billed monthly in advance, in U.S. dollars.
- We take payment by credit or debit card through Stripe. You authorize us to charge the card on file for each invoice, for renewals, and for any upgrade.
- Our prices do not include sales tax and we do not collect it. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase.
- We may change our prices. We will email you at least 30 days before a price increase applies to your plan. If you do not cancel before the new price takes effect, the new price applies from your next billing date.
- If we list a price in error, we may cancel the order and refund you, or offer the service at the correct price.
4.2 Invoices and late payment
Our billing schedule is:
| Day | What happens |
|---|---|
| 7 days before the due date | We email your invoice. |
| 3 days before the due date | We email a reminder. |
| Due date | We charge the card on file. |
| 1 day overdue | We email a first late notice. |
| 5 days overdue | We email a second late notice. |
| 7 days overdue | We suspend the account. Your sites and email stop working until you pay. |
| 30 days after suspension (37 days overdue) | We terminate the account and permanently delete its data, including site files, databases, email, and backups. |
We do not charge late fees or reactivation fees. Paying the overdue balance in full before termination restores a suspended account, usually within 1 business day.
When an account is suspended for non-payment, we keep its data for the 30 days until termination, as in section 6.1, and then delete it. Deleted data cannot be recovered. If your account is suspended, pay or download your data before the termination date.
4.3 Upgrades and downgrades
Plan upgrades and downgrades take effect immediately. We prorate the price difference for the rest of your current billing period.
- On an upgrade, we charge the prorated difference right away.
- On a downgrade, we add the prorated difference to your account as credit, which applies to your next invoices. We do not refund it to your card.
Before you downgrade, make sure your usage fits the smaller plan's limits. If it does not, the downgrade may fail or parts of your site may stop working.
4.4 Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your card issuer instead of contacting us first, we may suspend the account until the dispute is resolved. Please email support@tripledoghosting.com first. Most billing problems can be fixed in one reply.
5. Money-back guarantee and refunds
- 14-day money-back guarantee. If you are a first-time customer and cancel a hosting plan within 14 days of your first payment, we refund the hosting fees you paid for that plan.
- The guarantee applies once per customer. We may treat accounts that share a person, business, payment card, or address as one customer.
- The guarantee does not cover domain registrations, renewals, or transfers. Those fees are non-refundable because the registrar charges us as soon as the domain is registered. If you use the guarantee, you keep the domain.
- The guarantee does not apply to renewals, to accounts closed for breaking our Policies, or to accounts closed for fraud.
- Outside the guarantee, we do not refund partial months. When you cancel, the service runs to the end of the period you paid for.
- We issue approved refunds to the original card through Stripe. Your card issuer may take 5 to 10 business days to post the refund.
6. Cancellation and termination
6.1 Cancelling
You can cancel any service from the client portal or by emailing support@tripledoghosting.com from the email address on your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your paid billing period. Your service stays active until then, and we do not charge you again.
Download your site files, databases, and email before the period ends. When the period ends, your sites and email stop working. We keep your data for 30 days after the service ends, in case you change your mind, and then delete it permanently. The service ends on the last day of your paid period. If we suspend the service for non-payment, it ends on the suspension date. If you want the service back inside those 30 days, email support@tripledoghosting.com and place a new order. After the 30 days, your data cannot be recovered.
6.2 Termination by us
We may suspend or terminate the Services:
- For non-payment, on the schedule in section 4.2.
- For a breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, as described in the AUP.
- Immediately and without notice, if your use threatens the security or stability of our systems or other customers, exposes us to legal liability, or is required by law or by our infrastructure provider.
- For any other reason, with 30 days' email notice. In that case, we refund any prepaid fees for the unused part of your billing period.
If we terminate for a breach of our Policies, we do not issue a refund or credit.
7. Backups and your data
- We run automated daily backups of hosted site files, databases, and email. Backups are a disaster-recovery tool for our platform. We do not promise any retention period, and we do not guarantee that any specific backup exists or can be restored.
- You are responsible for keeping your own current copies of your site, database, and email outside our servers.
- We are not responsible for data loss caused by your actions, your plugins or themes, a compromised password, or account suspension, cancellation, or termination.
- You own your content. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, copy, cache, back up, transmit, and display your content only as needed to provide the Services.
8. Security
- We maintain server-level security, including firewalls, malware scanning, free SSL certificates, and software patching for the platform.
- You are responsible for securing your WordPress installation, including strong admin passwords, trusted plugins and themes, and timely updates.
- If we find malware, a compromised site, or a security risk, we may quarantine files, disable plugins, reset passwords, or suspend the site to protect you and other customers. We will email you when we do this.
- If you run a WooCommerce store, use a PCI-compliant payment gateway, such as Stripe or PayPal, that keeps card numbers off our servers. You must not store full card numbers or security codes on our servers.
- Our Services are not designed for data that requires special legal protection, such as health records covered by HIPAA. Do not store that data with us. We are not a HIPAA business associate.
9. Acceptable use
Your use of the Services must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. The AUP covers prohibited content and activity, adult content (which needs our written approval before you order), resource limits, email rules, and how we handle abuse reports. Send copyright (DMCA) notices to the designated agent named in section 9 of the AUP.
10. Disclaimers
Except as stated in these Terms, we provide the Services "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Apart from the uptime commitment in section 3.5, we do not promise that the Services will be error-free, secure against every attack, or available at all times. We do not make any promise on behalf of our infrastructure provider, Namecheap, Stripe, or other third parties.
11. Limitation of liability
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, sales, data, search ranking, or goodwill, even if we were told they were possible.
- Our total liability for all claims related to the Services is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the event that caused the claim.
- These limits do not apply to liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as liability for fraud.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend and pay for any claim, loss, fine, or cost (including reasonable attorney fees) that we, our members, employees, or contractors face because of:
- Your content or your websites, including your customers' and visitors' use of them.
- Your breach of these Terms or the AUP.
- Your violation of any law or anyone else's rights.
13. Legal requests
We may disclose account information or content when we receive a valid subpoena, court order, or other legal demand, or when we believe disclosure is needed to prevent harm. We will tell you about the request before we respond unless the law or the request forbids it.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For changes that reduce your rights or increase your costs, we will email you at least 30 days before they take effect. Other changes take effect when we post them on this page. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. If you keep using the Services after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
- Florida law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
- Before filing a claim, contact us at support@tripledoghosting.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it.
- Any lawsuit must be filed in the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida, and you and we consent to those courts. Either party may bring an eligible claim in small claims court. These Terms do not require arbitration.
- You must bring any claim within 1 year after it arises, or it is barred.
16. General terms
- Entire agreement. These Terms and the Policies are the entire agreement between you and us about the Services.
- Assignment. You may not transfer your account or these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business, and we will tell you by email.
- Severability. If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce a term, we have not waived our right to enforce it later.
- Force majeure. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events outside its reasonable control, such as hurricanes, floods, power or network outages, cyberattacks, or failures of our infrastructure providers. This does not excuse your obligation to pay.
- Electronic notices. You agree that emails and notices in the client portal count as written notice.
- Survival. Sections 5, 7, and 10 through 16 survive termination.
